MacBook Pro Boost Graphics Tip

Those of you who have a new Apple MacBook Pro may or may not be using the full potential of the graphics card. Recently I installed Boinx TV onto my computer, to play with this live recording app on the mac. When I started it up, it asked for me to use my Higher Performance graphics card. You see on the MacBook Pros are available with 2 graphics cards.
1. NVIDIA GeForce 9600M
2. NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT

Apparently the default settings in System PReferences-> Energy saver had set my graphics to "Better battery life" even when plugged in. I simply switched it to "Higher Performance" and now it seems HD renders, and other graphics intensive projects are going faster.

So if you are having performance issues with graphics on your MacBook Pro, check the System Preferences like above and switch. Only bad problem is you have to logout and login again when you switch. Bummer.

Even though blogging has been around for quite some time, it was the first time that Amsterdam played host to a conference dedicated to blogging, Blog08. An initiative of two enthusiastic Dutch youngsters, it was mainly an inspirational event, disguised as a kind of rock show. Although there was a live band, the ultimate rock star was “bad mother vlogger” GabeMac who closed the conference with a rocking vlog performance. The audience joined him in singing “we will, we will vlog you!” But the major theme of this conference was being passionate about blogging, which also applies to people who are in it for the money.

It was nice to take a break from unpacking today. I went to the park with some good friends, It is nice to live so close to the park where we can walk around and enjoy the sun. Even though I had a lot to do, many boxes to unpack, furniture to sell or move, and keep looking for a job; it was nice to take that break and enjoy life back in Amsterdam for a bit. I'm so happy to announce I have just launched a new show from XOLO.TV called CRBZ.TV. Create YouR BiZ.TV. Basically we go around filming all new web startups, but we go to the homes of those who founded it. It's gonna be very cool and I'm really excited. It's My Birthday!!! YEAH!!!

It's that time of year to play this awesome song from my firend Steve! Furthermore for my Birthday WE ARE LAUNCHING THE XOLO ALPHA!!! How cool is that. So here's the deal. Today we will be sending out the first 10 invites, checking the system and then follow with some more invites. It may take a week to get through our list, but we are starting. Last Friday we played some Poker at GabeB's. Mindcaster, bicycleMark and Richard Bluestein showed up as well. Richard grabbed the tape recorder and just put it on the table to a show. You can hear it here. I won a whole 10 euro that night! YEAH!!! It was actually just great to see Richard and the Mark(c)s all together.
