Are you a fan of ‘The Big Lebowski’? Well I am. I’ve been traveling around the world taking pictures of an action figure of the Dude. I’ve collected these pictures into a project called the Little Lebowski Project. You can read more about the project here. Well it’s the holidays and I figured it was time to make something fun for the Little Lebowski Project to raise awareness and donations.

Last week my sister came over to Europe for a vacation. We started in Amsterdam, chilling in the VondelPark with friends, checking out a few terraces, clubs and the like, and of course rode around on bikes. Then we headed over to Madrid where we started with my friend Catalina and met up with friends like Patrick and Henk and made some new friends as well. Then back to Amsterdam for the Appelsap festival in Oosterpark and Acid Jazz in the Sugar Factory before she got on the plane back to the states. It was so much fun, and I have some great videos which I will be posting at a later date. It was just really nice to see her just before she goes to College and study Environmental Sciences. Yes she will change the world I’m sure of it. Although by the end of the trip I think I turned her into a slight Activist. So proud of her.
Today I saw that Eitb news had picked up on Marc’s video post of us riding around through Bilbao. Another great video shot at the Nonick Conference I just saw is fromManu Srikumar. He posted a video of me and Miriam Reyes dancing. Miriam used to sit next to me everyday when we worked at Mobuzz.tv. She is one of the sweetest and nicest girl I ever met. I am really happy that her new project together with other mobuzz coworkers won a prize at nonick. If you speak Spanish, check out LaComuna.tv.
Last month when I went to moderate a session about online video in Bilbao for the nonick conference. the day after the conference, Marc from Amsterdamize and I rented a couple bikes from the hotel to go explore the city. This video Marc edited as a part1 of that wonderful day we had together. I know he is working on more, with some fun action shots through Bilbao, but this sets a nice tone for the day.
If you do goto Bilbao, I highly recommend checking out The Guggenheim Museum. Besides being an amazing building, I really loved the exhibitions they had there. Marc and I spent close to 4-5 hours in the museum hanging around and checking out the work. At the moment they have some amazing Video Art pieces that you can sit and literally loose yourself in for hours. If you were not stoned before going in, the effects of these films will transport you to that state. Then head up to the top floor to see Murakami. An awesome artist that has been highly influenced by popular culture in Japan such as Anime, Manga as well as traditional artists. If you are into Anime, contemporary art or Asian culture, this exhibition is for you!
