Image by jurvetson via FlickrTo all those creatives, artists, dancers, or anyone who feels that inner torment and struggle of, “Can I produce something good enough?” This talk from Elizabeth Gilbert at TED is something you should watch. It is scary how much this hit home, more than any of the books I’ve read on the Creative Process. We do torment ourselves, and let the ego take over with fear. Allowing that ego to fade away, and just showing up to work and let inspiration do it’s job without the fear is probably the best creative process tip I have heard. At times I have felt it as well. I usually call it the “Flow”. When you are in that creative flow, you feel like a conduit and the inspiration just takes hold of you to create. Enjoy.
