Xbox and Steven Spielberg have gotten into a project called “Milo“. It is scarely like A.I. that was made by Spielberg, and really shows how far the “Tamagochi” Phenomenon can happen. When we feel lonely our laptops and our games are our new friends. Scary and sick but this is how it is going. But does Milo have a soul? Do these inatimate items that we had as kids, such as the blanket, doll, or star wars figure we loved have a soul? A new generation of imaginary Virtual Friends is about to occur. This is so true think about it what if we didn’t have to search Google but rather said find this info or search that info even do a cross reference on this or that then the AI assistant did it. Think about it we have been in search for AI as being a Physical human form thing but rather this project opens it up to much more imagine a true virtual assistant Milo grown up. One who would get data for you basically do our biding create blogs by voice pay bills without worry or even home school us to relevant data no more buying dated text books but rather think of It as a companion not in a negative way but in a informative perspective way of thinking. The power of the web in it’s fullness within a human form much easier to relate to less evasive to interact with.
Microsoft has been on a mission to integrate all of its services from Xbox, Zune, and PC to entertainment now even cellular. Very interesting ideas Logan. Look at what Microsoft has launched with Bing. I understand the interface idea as well. But, also think about those people who just are not social and just want a computer to do something. I see your future here mate trust me. I'm feeling it, but what if you have a hangover, and just don't want to deal with people, or an AI trying to be a person. Exciting times though, very exciting times.
Think about all the people who don't know how to use a pc but we all know the universal language of
communication through person to person interaction just change the person to AI
I agree with you. That's why the Wii has been such a success. Nintendo really pushed the envelope again on this. Also how we see all the multi touch screens starting up over the last years, which I think is still rather cumbersome, the sheer simple motion and AI connected is great technology. Still a long way off, but it is something that will become our future I am sure of it.
