So Marlooz always comes in asking me about how she looks. Being a man, and not in a relationship with her, I can be completely honest in saying if she looks fat or not, which is basically what women want to know in the end.  Word of advice to the men. If she does look fat, tell her straight BUT give tips as how she could look better with the clothes she has if she arranges it different. Now this is not a skill most men have (after years of being in theater, around actors, models and divas I have a sense now I think), so get a gay friend or another girlfriend to teach you some tips. If it starts to backfire, you can go clothes shopping for lingerie, and have fun dancing in the dressing room. Trust me your life with a woman will change.
